Damian Barr’s Literary Salon is back IN PERSON and ONLINE! Miriam Margolyes, Alan Cumming, sleeping with books and much, much more! Yes, it’s our Autumn season! AND, because we love libraries so much, we’re offering complimentary online access to our December Salon to every library in the UK!

  • On Oct 31...The Big Scottish Book Club is back! On BBC Scotland & iPlayer!

  • On Nov 18...Alan Cumming not-so-discreetly unpacks his memoir baggage and we rejoice in poets Courtney Stoddard and Len Pennie at our Book Week Scotland Special Salon! Join us online. We’ll be having all the fun AND raising funds for our partners The Scottish Book Trust.

  • On Nov 26...Salon favourite David Nicholls is joining us for a sleep-over and special Salon at the leafy and lovely Grove Hotel! Pack your PJs and see you there!

  • On Dec 2...Join us at the London Library IN PERSON and online with guests Miriam Margolyes & Mohsin Zaidi! Will one glorious evening be enough? Because libraries are so important to us, we’re offering complimentary online access to this Salon to every library in the UK! We’re including libraries in schools (for pupils at GSCE and above), colleges and universities. Just ask your librarian to email libraries@literary-salon.co.uk for the special code to join us live on the night or watch after.

  • Every month we visit a different Indie Bookshop of the Month—this month we’re off to Greenlight Bookstore in Brooklyn. Follow us on Insta @damianbarrliterarysalon for behind-the-shelves tours and Insta-only giveaways.
